October 31, 2022

North Los Angeles Regional Center (NLACRC) seeks to ascertain stakeholder input regarding the proposed Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Community Placement Plan (CPP) / Community Resource Development Plan (CRDP) projects. WIC Section 4679(c) authorizes the Department of Developmental Services to allocate funds to regional centers for purposes of community resource development to address services and supports needs of individuals living in the community, and to issue guidelines on the use of these funds.

The following FY 2022-2023 CPP & CRDP developments were identified through individual/community growth trends and service needs to support 12 individuals to reside in the least restrictive setting within the community and provide crisis intervention and supports for individuals at risk for or currently experiencing an acute crisis:

1 Enhanced Behavioral Supports Home (EBSH) for children with severe behavioral needs (4-bed home)
2 Specialized Residential Facilities (SRFs) for adult males with severe behavioral needs (4-bed home)
1 Crisis Support Service utilizing the Systematic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resources, and Support (START) program model.

For those stakeholders interested in providing input regarding the identified projects, please contact resourcedevelopment@nlacrc.org, subject line “FY22-23 CPP/CRDP,” by November 14, 2022. (Please Note: This is a request for input on the identified projects only. A Request for Proposals for DDS-approved projects will be posted at a future date.)
