NLACRC has created the following one-sheet document that includes links to some highly recommended reading materials.

These resources cover various topics that we believe will be helpful for you:

NLACRC General Information Brochure: Short overview of the Regional Center, eligibility, services, contact information, and locations.
Consumer Rights Complaint Process: Step by step document that explains the legal right of families to file a complaint if they feel their rights are violated.
Services and Descriptions: Detailed descriptions of each service that Regional Center provides for each age group.
NLACRC Service Standards: Detailed document that defines the services and policies approved by the Department of Developmental Services.
Family Focus Resource Center: They provide education, advocacy, and family support services for families raising children with special needs.
Support Groups: List of specific support groups and other resources that families can join online or in person.
A Consumer’s Guide to the Landerman Act: Short overview of the Lanterman Act that was passed in 1969 which explains the rights of people with developmental disabilities.
