New Special Incident Reporting (SIR) Regulation Training Opportunities for Vendors

Dear Vendor Colleagues:

You are invited to join the Department’s Risk Management Branch for a training on the updated SIR regulations that will be effective May 1, 2026. Nothing new has been added to these regulations. The objective of this session is to make the regulations easier for everyone to understand.

Who Should Attend?

·    Any vendors, providers, and/or direct support professionals who work with individuals receiving services from a regional center.

Topics Covered:

·    An overview of the updated SIR regulations that go into effect May 1, 2026, and available resources.

·    A brief review of the RC SIR Reporting Guidelines.

Both webinar sessions will cover the same material, so you should select the date that is most convenient for you. Please register for one of the dates below:

Estimados colegas proveedores:

Les invitamos a unirse a la División de Gestión de Riesgos del Departamento para una capacitación sobre las regulaciones actualizadas de SIR que entrarán en efecto el 1 de mayo de 2026. No se ha añadido nada nuevo a estas regulaciones. El objetivo de esta sesión es hacer que las regulaciones sean más fáciles de entender para todos.

¿Quién debe asistir?

·    Cualquier proveedor, prestador de servicios y/o profesional de apoyo directo que trabaje con personas que reciben servicios de un centro regional.

Temas tratados :

·    Una descripción general de las regulaciones SIR actualizadas que entran en efecto el 1 de mayo de 2026 y los recursos disponibles.

·    Una breve revisión de las directrices de informe SIR del centro regional.
