Associate Consumer Service Coordinator

North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) is looking for motivated students from CSUN pursuing degrees in Health & Human Services or Social & Behavioral Services to join as Associate Consumer Service Coordinators.

Why Consider an Associate CSC Position?

“Day in the Life” of a Service Coordinator

Working at the Regional Center provides a variety of opportunities to connect with the local community. Some days you’ll be in the office, while other times you may visit someone’s home, school, or workplace. An average day will see you speaking to families, local businesses, and other community members in order to build plans for our clients to grow and become as integrated into our community as possible. As a service coordinator, we must be flexible, compassionate, and approachable to effectively support those we serve. Every day presents new challenges, allowing us to build relationships with individuals and families and create a lasting, positive impact in their lives.

What do you think is NLACRC’s biggest strength?

NLACRC is a community- it includes the individuals we serve, families, service providers, and NLACRC staff. While our organization continues to grow, NLACRC is still of the size that there are opportunities to make your voice heard, to provide feedback and suggestions, and to contribute to the agency’s mission. NLACRC has taken care of me as an employee through the turbulent times of this industry, economic climate, and even a pandemic, while other companies and industries were letting people go, cutting hours, or cutting pay. But most of all, NLACRC’s strength is the staff. Everyone works hard and goes above and beyond, and while the work is challenging and workload is high, we all find ways to support each other.
