The research studies listed here are posted as a public service and courtesy for interested parties. NLACRC has no affiliation or connection with the research studies.

All research studies are conducted by third parties who are not related in any way to NLACRC. Whether or not a consumer, parent or guardian chooses to participate in any study is entirely their decision. NLACRC services will not be affected in any way if a NLACRC family or consumer chooses to participate in, not to participate in, or withdraw from a research study. Any participation is at the consumer’s, parents’ or guardian’s own risk. Participants agree that they will not hold NLACRC liable or responsible in the event he/she experiences any real or perceived harm because of his/her decision to participate in the research study.

Research Participants Needed for Autism Spectrum Disorder Treatment Study

Looking for immigrant parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to participate in a study on seeking treatment for their child.

  • Are you a biological parent of a child or teenager with ASD?
  • Is your child currently in treatment and has been for the last 3 months?
  • Did you immigrate to the U.S. within the last 10 years?
  • Are you 18 years old or older?
  • Are you comfortable reading, writing, and speaking in English?

Clinical and Bio-molecular Characteristics of Reminder-Focused Positive-Psychiatry in Adolescents with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

If you or your child are between the ages of 11-15 and diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder, you are eligible to participate in a research study at Olive View UCLA Medical Center.

This study evaluates the clinical and bimolecular characteristics of RFPP in adolescents with PTSD. Reminder-Focused Positive Psychiatry (RFPP) has been shown as well tolerated feasible trauma-focused intervention that is associated with improved core PTSD symptoms, decreased severity of reactivity to PTSD trauma reminders, and increased vascular function.

Reminder-Focused Positive Psychiatry Body- Mind Intervention for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

If you are between the ages of 13-21 and diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder, you are eligible to participate in a research study at Olive View UCLA Medical Center.


Teens and young adults, 13-21 years old, who have been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and may or may not have comorbid autism spectrum disorder are being invited to take part in a research study.

Helping Optimize Language Acquisition (HOLA): Online Parent Training Intervention

The purpose of this study is to test a new series of brief online learning modules designed to support parents of young children who have challenges with language and social interaction.


Participation in this study will last approximately 12 weeks. Participants will answer questionnaires in-person (3 hours total) and complete six (6) weekly online training modules that provide parents with knowledge and strategies to help their child communicate and develop social skills (30 mins each).


Participants must be:

  1. 18+ Years old.
  2. The parent or primary caregiver of a child between 16 and 36 months who uses minimal verbal language.
  3. Able to read, understand and respond to surveys in English.

You will receive a developmental toy for your participation.
