Call for Applications for NLACRC’s Self-Determination Local Advisory Committee

North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) is recruiting for an opening for our Self Determination Volunteer Advisory Committee.
As required by law, this advisory committee advises in the following areas:
- Provide oversight on the implementation of NLACRC’s Self-Determination Program.
- Help share and distribute best-practice and training materials
- Make recommendations for improvement of the Self-Determination Program
- Provide recommendations for SDP fiscal allocations and priorities that are aimed at supporting the implementation efforts.
The committee members must reflect the multicultural diversity and geographic profile of the NLACRC catchment area. Our committee is currently seeking applicants who meet at least one of the following preferred criteria:
- Hispanic/Latino
- African American
- People with developmental disabilities (consumers)
The committee meets virtually the 3rd Thursday of the month from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

The deadline for application submission is October 4, 2024.
