Edie Delgadillo’s Inspiring Academic Journey

From community college to a master’s degree, Edie Delgadillo’s story is one of perseverance, self-advocacy, and determination. She began her academic path at LA Valley College with support from Tierra del Sol, and later transferred to California State University, Northridge. There, she earned her bachelor’s degree in General Sociology (May 2020) and her master’s in School Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential (May 2023).

Edie embraced campus life, accessed resources, advocated for herself, and successfully completed her coursework independently. Now, she’s preparing for a celebratory trip to Paris with her sisters before diving into her job search.

Her goal? To become the kind of school counselor she needed growing up—especially for students with disabilities. With her tenacious spirit and unwavering commitment, we know Edie will continue to achieve every goal she sets her mind to.
