Ang terminong "Mga Kapansanan sa Pag-unlad" ay nalalapat sa isang buong pangkat ng mga kondisyon na maaaring magdulot ng pisikal, pagkatuto, wika, o kapansanan sa pag-uugali. Ayon sa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), halos isa sa anim na bata sa Estados Unidos ay may \u201cisa o higit pang kapansanan sa pag-unlad o iba pang pagkaantala sa pag-unlad.\u201d Ang mga kundisyong ito ay nagsisimula bago ang edad na 18, may epekto sa pang-araw-araw na buhay, at karaniwang tumatagal sa buong buhay ng isang tao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
