Dear North Los Angeles County Regional Center Community, <\/p>\n

After much careful consideration and 27+ years with the Center, I have decided to retire. Please know it has been an absolute privilege and honor to work with and alongside so many you! It has truly been my good fortune to have had so many wonderful staff, service providers and stakeholders as partners in this journey. I must say, I am so fortunate to have had such a fulfilling career! <\/p>\n

My last day as the Center\u2019s Executive Director is January 31st and while the Board of Trustees seeks a replacement (new Executive Director), they have appointed Ms. Cristina Preuss as the Interim Executive Director, effective February 1, 2024. <\/p>\n

Cristina is a Consumer Services Director, a position within the Center\u2019s Senior Leadership Team. She is currently responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Center\u2019s Early Start Program in all three offices, Enhanced Case Management Services, Provisional Eligibility, Diversity Equity & Inclusion\/Community Outreach, and School Age Case Management Services in the San Fernando Valley. Cristina has been with NLACRC for a total of 12 years, and prior to joining the regional center, she worked in the field of Early Childhood Special Education for over 20 years in different capacities, most recently as Director of Children\u2019s programs for Therapeutic Living Center for the Blind, as a Consultant for Los Angeles County Office of Education – Early Childhood Division and as an Adjunct Faculty for LA Mission College. Throughout her professional experiences, her commitment has always been to support, advocate and provide quality information to all families of individuals with developmental delays and\/or disabilities. <\/p>\n

I am confident Cristina will provide supportive leadership to the organization during this transition to new leadership! <\/p>\n

And in departing, please know I have been grateful for the privilege of working with and serving individuals and families, and grateful for the dedication of each of my partners along the way. Each day that we serve, we make a difference in the lives of others, and there is no greater reward. <\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s de mucha consideraci\u00f3n cuidadosa y 27+ a\u00f1os con el Centro Regional, he decidido retirarme. \u00a1Sepan que ha sido un privilegio absoluto y un honor trabajar con y junto a tantos ustedes! Realmente he tenido la suerte de haber tenido tantos empleados maravillosos, proveedores de servicios y partes interesadas como socios en este viaje. \u00a1Debo decir que soy muy afortunada de haber tenido una carrera tan satisfactoria! <\/p>\n

Mi \u00faltimo d\u00eda como Directora Ejecutiva del Centro Regional sera el 31 de enero y mientras la Junta Directiva busca un reemplazo (nueva Directora Ejecutiva), han nombrado a la Sra. Cristina Preuss como Directora Ejecutiva Interina, a partir del 1 de febrero de 2024. <\/p>\n

Cristina es Directora de Servicios al Consumidor, un puesto dentro del Equipo de Liderazgo Senior del Centro Regional. Actualmente es responsable de la implementaci\u00f3n y supervisi\u00f3n del Programa de Intervenci\u00f3n Temprana del Centro Regional en las tres oficinas, Servicios Mejorados de Administraci\u00f3n de Casos, Elegibilidad Provisional, Diversidad, Equidad e Inclusi\u00f3n\/Alcance Comunitario, y Servicios de Administraci\u00f3n de Casos en Edad Escolar en el Valle de San Fernando. Cristina ha estado con NLACRC por un total de 12 a\u00f1os, y antes de unirse al centro regional, trabaj\u00f3 en el campo de la Educaci\u00f3n Especial para la Primera Infancia durante m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os en diferentes capacidades, m\u00e1s recientemente como Directora de Programas Infantiles para el Centro de Vida Terap\u00e9utica para Ciegos, como Consultora de la Oficina de Educaci\u00f3n del Condado de Los \u00c1ngeles – Divisi\u00f3n de Primera Infancia y como Profesora Adjunta para LA Mission College. A lo largo de sus experiencias profesionales, su compromiso siempre ha sido apoyar, abogar y proporcionar informaci\u00f3n de calidad a todas las familias de personas con retrasos en el desarrollo y\/o discapacidades. <\/p>\n

\u00a1Estoy segura de que Cristina brindar\u00e1 un liderazgo de apoyo a la organizaci\u00f3n durante esta transici\u00f3n a un nuevo liderazgo! <\/p>\n

Y al partir, sepan que estoy agradecida por el privilegio de trabajar y servir a personas y familias, y agradecida por la dedicaci\u00f3n de cada uno de mis socios a lo largo del camino. Cada d\u00eda que servimos, marcamos una diferencia en la vida de los dem\u00e1s, y no hay mayor recompensa. <\/p>\n
